Talk Like A Pirate Day

h1 Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

Its “Talk Like A Pirate Day” and I have to go to Uni. Not just any Uni, but the Academy. Is there some kind of pepper spray or something specific to wierd people with theatre-arts experience I could get hold of before 1pm?

Winkled. WTF?!

Birdy Birdy Birdy!!

h1 Friday, September 15th, 2006

Yep, I’m obsessed. I think a budgie is about as large as we can go, as we just don’t have the space to put a larger cage for a bigger parrot. And the bigger they are, the more mess they make- and I like letting them out to fly around the house. We’re gonna have a look on the weekend!

*nay*
I’m like a bird, tweet tweet!

A pet for Nay

h1 Thursday, September 14th, 2006

I want a pet. Obviously I can’t have a puppy, and I despise the cats around here as I’m convinced they’re eating my frogs. We have a few fish in the little pond who get excited when they’re fed, but I want something I can play with and cuddle. It needs to be small, cheap to look after and easy to set up for (cage etc). When I was little I had a budgie named Chopper that would fly over and land on my arm when called. He wasn’t exactly cuddly but still fun to play with. He used to chase my pen around the paper and chew the corners when I was doing my homework. Yes, my budgie regularly ate my homework.

Another bird would be nice, especially since we only have one outside door to worry about keeping closed. Maybe a guinea pig or ferret. I just don’t want something that smells- atleast I know that birds don’t. You used to be able to get a baby budgie for $10, and once you’ve got the cage (which usually comes with food and water bowls) the only real ongoing cost is seed. And compared to dog food, thats very cheap.

I think I’ve convinced myself. I want a budgie. I can play with it, train it, and go to the beach to find cuttle-fish for it. Is there a pet store at Innaloo? Just not sure if I need to convince Rob. They don’t have fur so he won’t be allergic. We could look for one together and find one that likes us both! Maybe we could have a look tonight. We’ll see I guess.

Say No To Penguins

I thought of Adam.

My employers love me..

h1 Tuesday, September 12th, 2006

I don’t do Tuesdays. However:
06:00- 11:00 Work
13:00- 16:00 Uni
16:00- 22:00 Work- TL shift

The morning shift covered a person who has quit for a better job, and the afternoon one is to cover a sickie. Uni will hopefully finish the usual 15mins early so I can get back to work on time. We shall see.

In the spare two hours I have also washed the dishes and mopped the house. Tonight had better be easy.

And now ’tis Thursday.

h1 Thursday, September 7th, 2006

I could go on forever with that method of titling my posts. Anywho.

So I’m doing the weekly washing. Today there will be six loads. Then I will attempt the weekly groceries and the weekly fuel-up. I’m feeling rather optimistic about both, since I didn’t have to fuel up last week, and the shopping list is short :D

And then I shall get my bum over to Supre and find another pair of awesomely comfortable trackies. Hope there’s time before work at three.. I finish at seven (just a quick fill-in) and I’m heading straight from there to Applecross to start up Clogging again! There will be absolutely no wooden shoes in sight, we like to call it tap dancing in hob-nail boots. I started with Mum when I was nearly six and did it for years before we moved north. And since it’s so energetic I don’t feel so bad about not going for a ride this morning.

Aside from the dancing tonight, what a hopelessly boring day.

Oh hey, work are dolling out permenant hours! There’ll be a set of shifts that each person is given on a permenant basis, and then if they come up short we can still come in for extra hours. Mine are taking some organising, as they want to factor in Team-Leader shifts too, but I’m loving the thought of actually being able to plan stuff more than a week in advance. I guess we’ll see how that pans out.

What? Tuesday again??

h1 Tuesday, September 5th, 2006

Thankyou Defying Gravity for re-instilling my faith in the Tuesday lunchtime Concert.

Yesterday made four whole years that Rob and I have been together. Oh and also the Crocodile Hunter died. So an interesting day was had by all really.

My mummy was in town for the weekend! She stayed with Rob and me on our fold-out couch, which isn’t the most comfortable but is the most convenient accommodation that ISN’T my grandparents’ spare room. (They’re Dad’s parents, not hers, and sometimes they make that li’l fact known.) I missed her alot when she left, since we spent the entire weekend together except for the 5hrs work I did Friday. We went shopping and had KFC and she met Ben and Tiff and baby Lukas. And the Dockers won yet another game. Wo0t!!

Last week we saw Snakes on a Plane. Only because Hoodwinked was on early and we didn’t realise. My God that movie is so stupid it’s hilarious.

And this backward post has been brought to you by the letter N and the number 3.
